Start with the finished product
A clear product brief gives every packaging project a useful starting point. Describe the wipe, the intended application and the way the finished pack should look. Include reference samples where possible so that the discussion is based on a physical product as well as a drawing.
Define the pack format
Will each wipe have its own sachet, or will several wipes share one pack? Note the desired pack dimensions, wipe dimensions and fold. These details help frame the conversation about the machine configuration and the materials to be evaluated.
Prepare for a sample review
Bring together examples of the wipe material, packaging film and intended liquid. Record which details are already fixed and which can change. Discuss compatibility and trial requirements with the machine supplier before finalising the specification.
Create a shared project brief
Keep the product details, expected output, available space and preferred timeline in one document. A shared brief makes it easier to compare proposals and to identify questions that still need an answer.
